The software has been created as common product for security hybrid platforms running concurrently with wireless and wired IP webcams, Television-boards, capture boards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the equal appearance and controls on the local and apart workstations. Users see MPEG-4 coded picture and have complete control of the software through network that surveillance station can be run with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Program's modular composition significantly boosts reliability because all units proceed as autonomous software. If one component stops working, other parts go on running. For instance if the 'record' module stops working, 'watchdog' starts again it immediately that viewers don't notice anything because they are watching picture using a 'playback' module. The program does 'repeated' recording that the 'hard drive full' situation never occurs. The recording can be constant or it can be triggered by motion, human face recognition, or by timetable. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance pc as well as on distant server using Web interface. The software performs synchronized video playback for event analysis from multiple webcams at the same time. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected.
