A small little company called Atari had wowed crowds with their clever use of lines in a game called pong. Asteroids was a simple game that was beautiful for it's time. You float in space and shoot asteroids, the more asteroids you shoot, the more you create. Be careful - you only have one ship for each 10,000 points.
