The program has been created as general application for surveillance hybrid platforms functioning at the same time with wireless and wired Internet cameras, Television-cards, capture cards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the identical look and functionality on the local and remote workstations. Customers watch MPEG coded picture and have complete control of the software through network that surveillance pc can be run with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Software's modular composition extensively increases reliability because all units work as independent applications. If one module fails, other components keep on running. For example if the 'capture' module stops working, 'watchdog' restarts it immediately that users don't notice anything because they are watching video through a 'playback' part. The software does 'cyclic' recording that the 'disk full' situation never appears. The recording can be constant or it can be initiated by movement, human face recognition, or by calendar. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance server as well as on apart workstation through Web interface. The program performs simultaneous video playback for event analysis from many cameras concurrently. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by face detected.
