HTTPZIP FOR ADVANCED MICROSOFT IIS COMPRESSION accelerates sites, speeds up Web-based application, and reduces bandwidth costs dramatically. httpZip improves page load times for your site's visitors and leverages your current server resources. All of this is done transparently, compressing Web pages using HTTP encoding algorithms supported in modern browsers to reduce page file sizes to as little as 2% of their original size (98% smaller)!
LOW COST BANDWIDTH SOFTWARE EASILY INTEGRATES COMPRESSION INTO YOUR SITE OR APPLICATION. Both static (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or any text-based file) and dynamic pages can be compressed (including ASP, ASP.NET, ColdFusion, PHP, Perl, and JSP output). Third party compatibility includes Akamai content distribution network, Windows SharePoint Services (SPS), Microsoft's Internet Security and Acceleration Server (ISA), Microsoft Small Business Server, Exchange 2000 with Outlook Web Access (OWA), BEA WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, Tomcat, and third-party ISAPI filters, including URL rewriters. Browser compatibility checking with mime type, file, and directory exclusions, delivers granular control over what you would like to be safely compressed. With httpZip's in-memory compression cache, static and many dynamic pages can be served from memory, minimizing CPU overhead. Multiple interfaces are provided, including a GUI and a COM interface for developers looking to directly control compression. httpZip provides accurate Web based reporting to measure your performance gains. Optional white space removal for HTML/CSS provides an additional 5 – 10% savings and prevents hackers from source sifting. Safe defaults also make httpZip an excellent choice for hosting providers as well.
