With Multi-Core processor support and Optimized RAR extraction, PowerArchiver 2010 is the fastest and most advanced PowerArchiver to date. Multi-Core optimized compression in PowerArchiver 2010 leads to up to 4x speed improvement and enables users to use full potential of their PC. Optimized RAR extraction provides up to 30% faster RAR extraction than before. PowerArchiver 2010 is the first archiver to fully support Windows 7 OS with jump lists, taskbar progress and taskbar icon overlays. Support for Unicode in ZIP is implemented throughout PowerArchiver 2010, both read and write.
Full support for new .zipx extension for advanced compression methods is available in PowerArchiver 2010, supporting LZMA, PPMd, BZIP2 and WAVPACK in ZIP, according to the latest ZIP standards. Both write and read support, making PowerArchiver only application that supports Winzip 12 and earlier files.
PowerArchiver 2010's 7-Zip compression is now Optimized - Ultra and Max methods feature stronger compression now. PowerArchiver's Backup feature has been expanded in 2010 to include 3 possible local destinations, 7-Zip compression, detailed logs that can be e-mailed, and an advanced built-in scheduler.
