Software Description:
I'm about to share with you my experience of using REFOG Personal Monitor. In our organization, we implement various methods of work-time effectiveness control. Among them, a daily report, was our best achievement so far. Still, I was unable to precisely determine the time needed by our employees to finish particular tasks. REFOG Personal Monitor seemed to be promising and we gave it a try. Although the application can be in a hidden mode, we let know our employees that we installed it. The employees and office managers were not upset about it. They obviously were not aware of the possibilities of REFOG Personal Monitor.
After several days I have got all the logs tracked by REFOG Personal Monitor and imported them into my spreadsheet. I grouped data by application title and determined totals. Then I used simple rules to discard the time spent on useless activities, etc. Then we arranged a meeting and talked about the problems that had been unveiled. This alone has increased the effectiveness of our department by up to 20%. I've never used REFOG Personal Monitor since that time. There's no need to use it again. Just knowing that all their activities is monitored makes our employees work more effectively. This is my short story of how a few dollars invested in a small application can give you better results.
Here is how REFOG Personal Monitor acts. The program runs in a hidded mode. It's not visible in the Windows Task Manager and can't be terminated by the user. REFOG Personal Monitor tracks all paths of applications running, captions of windows opened, all user's keystrokes and grabs screen shots. The application also monitors the Windows Clipboard and addresses of pages viewed in a Web browser. Log files can be automatically sent to an e-mail address or uploaded to an FTP folder on your server. The software can track how your employees use their work time and to monitor all data typed by them.
