By knowing your BMR, you know how much food (calories) you need to consume to lose, maintain or gain weight. The Sam Gurgis BMR calculator allows you to calculate your BMR easily and quickly. Just open the Sam Gurgis BMR Calculator, select your gender and enter your age, weight and height. Then, press "Calculate Daily Calorie Needs". Leave lifestyle option on "Sedentary". You can also use the Sam Gurgis BMR calculator to see how many extra calories you consume when active by selecting one of the other lifestyle options: "Light activity", "Moderate activity" or "Very active".
